KTT : KDE Tengwar Tool allows transcription from Roman letters (these you're just reading) into the Tengwar (the Elvish letters, created by Fëanor and described by J.R.R.Tolkien in 'The Lord of the Rings') using TTF fonts with Daniel Smith's key mapping. Further information on the Tengwar writing system can be found here (in Polish!) or at Amanye Tenceli and Dan Smith's Tengwar page. Please also take a look at Writing With Elvish Fonts guide by Harri Perälä - TengwarScribe usage described on that page applies also to KTT.
By using Narmacil transcription engine KTT can perform bidirectional transcription - Roman into Tengwar and also Tengwar into Roman. Transcription is done according to rules of writing in chosen language (or mode). KTT can work with both .mod and .tmf mode files - MOD is an old (primary) format as used in the TengwarScribe while TMF is a new format introduced together with Narmacil engine in version 2.0 of the YaTT software.
For more information please refer to KTT Handbook (also available online).
In order to use KTT you also need to download mode files for chosen languages and you need to have Tengwar TTF fonts (Tengwar Quenya, Tengwar Sindarin, Tengwar Noldor, Tengwar Parmaite or Tengwar Cursive) installed on your system.
KTT works only in KDE 3.0+ on Linux system.
